I find it hard, when I’m out and about, to resist buying things that have a bit of a 1920s feel…it’s a bit of an addiction. Well, at least they are often used, for our Vintage events! There is of course, a lot more in our Roaring Twenties party box and vintage dressing up box. These aren’t originals, but they’re fun and they have the right look and feel and are popular at the vintage hen parties for a spot of Charleston Dancing too.

It’s fairly easy to find 1920s style accessories if you spend enough time hanging round antique shops, charity shops and sales, and vintage fairs! You don’t have to spend a fortune buying originals, especially now that the vintage look has hit the high street. Just keep your eyes peeled! And look at books and online for original pieces and pictures of stars of stage and screen, for inspiration. I just watched Midnight in Paris, the Woody Allen film, and very much enjoyed the 1920s party scenes for the hair and costumes, not to mention the lovely Cole Porter song and piano numbers and the hot jazz band music.
More on accessories soon!
