We love to host our hen parties at wonderful vintage venues where we can provide a backdrop that helps your imagination transport you to a more glamorous time. This Jacobean mansion is the perfect setting for a vintage hen party near Oxford. And a little 1950s hair and make up and dressing up, is certainly nicely set off by a fountain, or a beautiful facade of a Jacobean mansion, or a lovely bit of parkland. I like to think it adds a bit of vintage vogue. This hen party in Oxfordshire, was one such event.
Hen parties don’t have to be trashy and involve running around town at night with a truncheon and fishnets and a policeman’s outfit. For a rather more special, sophisticated hen party idea, look no further for inspiration.
We arranged this hen party for the girls and they had afternoon tea during their vintage hair and make up, then a photoshoot with our dressing up accessories and props.
Some of the hens tried their hand at 1950s pin up style posing. They hired props and accessories from Ali at Frock n Roll for the shoot, such as the vintage telephone and hairdryer which make for fantastic vintage pin up props.
There were also some lovely bump shots at the hen party… We were very pleased with the work of our vintage hair and make up artists at this party.
