Tea dance at Brazier’s Park, Oxfordshire on 1st August, with free Charleston Dance Workshop!

I’m excited that I’ll be doing a Charleston dance class in Oxford – well half an hour from Oxford and Reading for a 1920s-40s tea dance at Brazier’s Park in Oxfordshire on 1st August. It’s such a lovely venue. It’s actually the oldest surviving commune I think, started in the 1950s, but the house is much older… well, you can check that out on their website. I’m not sure which room we’ll be in but I really hope it’s the wood panelled dining room that looks very 20s, with a grand piano.

There will be a live jazz band, The Silver Heels, who play swing and Charleston classics. Come on down all you lindy hoppers, let’s have another Charleston vs lindy hop dance off! We’ll beat you this time….!

It’s also a great wedding venue, you can use the grounds and camp there, it’s such a lovely place to wake up in the morning and have an informal wedding. My good friend Amy got married there not so long ago.

I’ll announce it when tickets go on sale…
