1920s hen party in London – dancing, hair and make up and a photoshoot!

Here’s a very fun 1920s hen party in London with some unusual moments – a cat turned up – is he a jazz cat? He was certainly very relaxed and unphased watching these ladies dance and stomp about in thei
r Charleston Dance Class, and he even joined in with the dressing up, donning a feather boa! Hmm, perhaps it was a birdkill? Hens, birds, geddit? Oh sorry that’s absolutely terrible, Shimmylin… Well, after our vintage hen parties I must say that the room really does look like a massacre in a multicoloured chicken factory… Here’s the cat in question, anyway.

So here are the ladies learning vintage dance steps. I think you’ll agree that they scrubbed up well as a troupe of 1920s flappers!

Ooh, they appear to be dancing some sort of choo choo train. And here they are having their hair styled. Look at those beautiful 1920s kiss curls!

A little tea and cake accompanied all that activity. The hens did a lovely vintage tea party.

Here are a few individual shots from their 1920s photoshoot

I think you’ll agree they’re a proper bunch of posers!
