This group of hens were awfully good fun! Karen and friends had a Great Gatsby themed 1920s hen party. They started with a Charleston Dance class, naming their hen party dance troupe Lady Penelope and the Targettes! (a frenchified version of Karen’s surname!) I think this was one of my favourite groups to work with. They were a lot of fun!
This was a complete vintage hen party day out. They had 1920s hair and make up by one of our vintage hair and make up artists and did their own afternoon tea – served on vintage china which we helped them to hire, and Neile Wright provided a table-laying service. We even provided 1920s musicians – a pianist and singer, Lawrie Wright and Deb Ferguson of the Silver Heels Jazz Band! Having the music there really gave the tea party some proper 1920s atmosphere, and we were able to keep showing the hens dance moves throughout. In fact it really was a special atmosphere, like a 1920s tea dance.
Their 1920s photoshoot was great fun. I hope you enjoy looking at this lovely vintage photography.
