A look back at some of Shimmy-lin’s vintage looks at past vintage hen parties courtesy of our hair and make up artists! Usually twenties mad, Shimmy decided to leap forwards 3 decades to the 1950s for a bit of an image change, frilly petticoat, victory rolls, bakelite telephone ‘n’ all!
She was very pleased with her new look, and enjoyed the vintage makeover and photoshoot experience, I can tell you!
Then later that summer, the vintage hair and make up became addictive and it was back to the dapper twenties for Shim-Sham-Shimmy, and for some 1920s hair and make up! The beaded dress is actually from Oasis! Some of the high street stores had a lot of 1920s style dresses in.

Later, there was another 1950s moment and photo and a bit of silly messing about with a bowl of cream.

And finally, some 1940s fun with a friend and a rather marvellous original 1940s dress that was bought in Bristol in a vintage shop. It has an original metal zip and is made of rayon.
