Want ideas for a vintage hen party combining DIY food with some added activities that you can book to enhance the fun? That’s what these ladies did at this fabulous 1950s hen party. They had their own afternoon tea, brought their own food and booked their own venue in Alston, near Winchester. Then they booked our vintage hair and make up artists to come to the venue and our photographer to shoot the fun! And we had fun imitating 1950s pin up, 1950s advertising and housewife imagery, and the stylish Vintage Vogue poses and iconic photography of the era. And of course, lots of general hijinks and fun!
Some of the girls fancied trying their hand at vintage pin up look. So our vintage dress hire expert brought the 1950s bakelite telephone, as there were a lot of 1950s pin up photos incorporating telephones!
Our 1950s look book and props and accessories brought along by our vintage dressing up expert (the hens booked our dress hire service), helped to inspire the photos! Here’s a 1950s housewife pose inspired by 1950s advertising, and a classic carefree pose with a parasol! And a 1950s Bush radio and a little bit of photoshoot fun. Again the photographer is hinting at the very posed images of 1950s advertising here.
Finally, here are a few of the vintage vogue style shots and some fun with flowers! And of course the hens having a bit of fun with the photographer, they were a great fun loving group of gals!
The frocks and accessories were supplied by our vintage dressing up expert Ali from Frock n Roll.
